METS Implementors' Meeting 2006 -- Call for Interest

The METS Implementors' Meeting (MIM 2006) would be an opportunity for the community that is using METS to meet and talk about how they have implemented METS systems, share profiles for METS XML Documents, and organize to work on the future development of METS as a standard.

Ideally, the meeting would be held as a pre- or post- conference to a meeting that many implementors might be going to or be interested in anyway. JCDL 2006, June 11-15 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, seems like a very good candidate as it already draws many international implementors of METS and is well attended and of general interest to participants in the digital artifact description and collection community.
