This notice initiates the 2 week community review period for the UTAudio METS Profile. This profile describes the rules and requirements for using METS as an Archival Information Package for digital audio objects. Digital audio objects may contain raw, master, and derivative audio files, as well as text transcripts and/or translations. Developed by the Human Rights Documentation Initiative at the University of Texas Libraries, this profile is intended for any audio object collected by the Libraries. The provisional METS profile is available at this URL: http://lcnetdev.github.io/standards/mets/profiles/00000037.xml The target date for official registration of this profile is Wednesday, August 10, 2011.
