The BIBFRAME Update will present some exciting news that shows the progress being made in the implementation of BIBFRAME. The Library of Congress will have some announcements on our Pilot expansion and access to our BIBFRAME file. Two reports will focus on the LD4P sub-project to develop an editor for BIBFRAME for the libraries participating in a Mellon funded project. While initially building on the BIBFRAME editor used by the Library of Congress, it has taken some new directions. Although the Sinopia editor is not quite finished it is far enough to see where it is going and how multiple authority file resources can be utilized. OCLC will report on their current BIBFRAME activities in OCLC Research and their engagement with member libraries. And Innovative has developed a very interesting discovery platform using BIBFRAME data that they will describe.
