METS ProfilesMETS Profiles are intended to describe a class of METS documents in sufficient detail to provide both document authors and programmers the guidance they require to create and process METS documents conforming with a particular profile. Registered ProfilesInstitutions creating profiles for their METS objects may register those profiles with the Library of Congress Network Development and MARC Standards Office after they are approved by the METS Editorial Board; such profiles will be made publicly available so that those wishing to produce METS documents in accordance with a particular institutions' requirements may examine them.
